The soul of the North. Hanoi carries its history naturally, through old neighbourhoods, quiet temples and traditions that remain part of daily life. Beyond the capital, Ha Long Bay brings a complete change of scenery, with limestone islands rising from calm waters. Spending the night on the bay gives you time to see this landscape at its best, from the softer light of sunset to the stillness of early morning.

In the heart of Vietnam's heritage. Central Vietnam holds some of the country's richest cultural stories. Hue reflects the grandeur of the former imperial capital, while Hoi An feels more intimate, shaped by centuries of trade and cultural exchange. Between royal heritage and riverside life, this part of the journey offers a closer connection to the traditions that have shaped Vietnam over generations.

Life in the South. The south brings another side of Vietnam into view. Ho Chi Minh City carries the marks of a complex recent past, while Ben Tre feels worlds away among the waterways and coconut groves of the Mekong Delta. Here, small boats, family workshops and villages along the river offer a glimpse into a way of life that still moves with the water.

Vietnam uses the Vietnamese Dong (VND) for most daily transactions. While some places may accept USD or EUR, it’s not very common, so it’s always more convenient to pay in local currency.

Cash is still widely used, especially in local markets and small shops while credit cards are accepted at hotels, malls, and more upscale restaurants, sometimes with a small surcharge.

ATMs are easy to find in cities and tourist areas, so withdrawing cash is generally simple and convenient.
