"Sousdei" from
CAMBODIA

From the magnificent temples of Angkor to the lively streets of Phnom Penh, peaceful countryside and the waterways of the Mekong and Tonle Sap, Cambodia is a destination where history, culture and everyday life come together.

In Siem Reap, the ancient temples of Angkor reveal the extraordinary legacy of the Khmer Empire, while Phnom Penh offers a fascinating mix of royal heritage, contemporary life and a complex modern history. Beyond the major highlights, travellers can discover floating communities, rural villages, tropical landscapes and the relaxed coastline and islands of southern Cambodia.

More than its iconic sights, Cambodia is shaped by the warmth of its people, rich traditions and resilient spirit. Whether explored as a standalone destination or combined with neighbouring countries, it offers experiences that are both deeply cultural and genuinely memorable.

Why travel to Cambodia

A journey through living history

Home to the extraordinary temples of Angkor, Cambodia offers one of Southeast Asia’s most compelling cultural experiences. The temples of Angkor are impressive reminders of the ancient Khmer Empire and attract visitors from all over the world. Apart from the temples, travellers can discover royal landmarks, traditional communities and a way of life closely connected to the Mekong and Tonle Sap.

Easy to explore, easy to combine

Cambodia’s key destinations are well connected by road and air. Its location at the heart of Southeast Asia also makes it easy to combine with Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, creating greater flexibility for both standalone and longer multi-country journeys.

Traveling to Cambodia: Things to know

Cambodia has a tropical climate with two main seasons, making it possible to visit throughout the year.

November to March (Best time): Dry and relatively cool, with comfortable conditions for sightseeing and temple visits.

April to May (Hot season): Still dry, but very hot. The temperatures soar as high as 40°C, and the landscape is parched and dusty. We don’t usually recommend traveling during these months, unless your clients’re keen to experience the lively water celebrations of Khmer New Year.

June to October : Green or rainy season, with higher humidity and regular tropical showers. Rain often comes in short, heavy bursts rather than lasting all day. Otherwise, it's generally nice and sunny, and the countryside is at its most picturesque and lush. Notably, the high water levels at Tonle Sap during this period make the floating village experience feel far more authentic and immersive.
