The beauty of the North. Northern Vietnam is shaped by water, mountains and a long history. Ha Long Bay brings you into a landscape of limestone islands rising from the sea, while Ninh Binh carries that scenery inland, with rivers winding between rice fields and rocky peaks. Hanoi adds another layer, where historic sites and the busy streets of the Old Quarter show a more everyday side of the north.
Central Vietnam in full colour. Around Da Nang and Hoi An, the scenery shifts between mountains, coconut waterways and the coast. Hoi An brings much of the region's charm together, especially in the evening when lanterns light up its old streets and river. From the quiet waterways of Cam Thanh to the mountain views of Ba Na Hills, Central Vietnam offers plenty of contrast within a relatively small part of the country.
A taste of the tropics. In the south, the journey balances city life with a few days by the sea. Phu Quoc brings clear water, small islands and plenty of time outdoors, from snorkelling around coral reefs to crossing above the sea by cable car. Ho Chi Minh City offers a final change of pace, bringing you back to the energy of urban Vietnam before the journey ends.

Full Day Ninh Binh (Tam Coc & Hoa Lu Temples)
Morning, meet our guide and transfer to Ninh Binh province - located 110km from Hanoi to the South, Tam Coc Cave may be one of the most spectacular sights in Vietnam. Along the Hoang Long River, vast limestone cliffs rise out of the rice paddies make Tam Coc somehow similar to Halong Bay, thus Tam Coc is also called Halong Bay – on-land. A river trip to Tam Coc and through three caves of Tam Coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local residents come to harvest the rice planted along the river or when they transplant seeding for the next crop.
Next to Tam Coc is Hoa Lu, the relics of the ancient capital of Vietnam in 10th century. What remains are temples dedicated to the two heroes: King Dinh and King Le whom chosen Hoa Lu to build the citadel of the capital city. Though the temples are not wholly maintained, some precious antiques are still preserved well like: the whole-stone dragon thrones; wooden has-relieves and lacquered statues of King Dinh, King Le and Queen Duong Van Nga who in turn got married to both of the Kings.
Then continue to visit Bich Dong pagoda, an ancient three tiered cave pagoda only accessible by steep stone steps, but it is really worth climbing up for a charming pagoda and stupendous view from the top.
By the end of afternoon, transfer back to Hanoi and free at leisure in the evening.

Then you will take a quick speedboat transfer to the luxurious floating home before starting your unique journey of exploring one of the wonders of nature – Lan Ha Bay and its main Island of Cat Ba. Enjoy your lunch which is served in the ship's a nearly 360-degree light-flooded restaurant. Their live cooking in the open kitchen is a one of a kind experience – enjoy the culinary display along with fantastic panoramic views of the passing scenery. Relax on the terrace deck or on your private balcony and soak in the enchanting aura which emanates from the surreal seascape. Enjoy some unique facilities on board. Take a plunge in the pool with infinity-like vistas or get pampered with a selection of fine treatments and massages in the spa area of the ship. As the cruise reaches the shore of a small lagoon on Cat Ba Island, you will hop on bicycles (e-cart transfers are also available) for leisure pedaling along small paved roads towards the Viet Hai Village. Little has changed in Viet Hai since the ancestors of the 80 households settled here centuries ago. Situated in a valley within the Cat Ba National Park and surrounded on all sides by thick forests and mountains, the locals are isolated from the island's other villages and towns. The only access is via sea. The community is self-sufficient, as the residents provide for themselves by cultivating vegetables and fruits in the next-door fields, growing rice of cause in the valley, and going fishing out in the bay. This is a truly unique and authentic opportunity to meet local inhabitants and experience their local daily life. You have a glimpse of local households and see how they make medicine organically from tree bark. Try various homemade liquors if you fancy. Back on board, you'll join a cooking demonstration to learn a few Vietnamese culinary secrets with the chef in the restaurant's big open kitchen (or any other alternative onboard activity).

ATMs are easy to find in cities and tourist areas, so withdrawing cash is generally simple and convenient.
